Cancellations, Refunds, Changes
CANCELLATION POLICY
- Cancellation requests must be received in writing on or before March 23, 2007, to qualify for a refund. A US $150 administrative fee will be deducted for all approved cancellations received on or before March 23, 2007. Approved refunds will be processed after the convention. Cancellation requests received after March 23, 2007, will NOT be honored.

REFUND POLICY
- Refund request received and approved by the BIO Conventions and Conferences Department on or before March 23, 2007, will receive a refund less a US $150 administrative fee for each individual registration category purchased or for each individual workshop purchased. Any CD-ROMs purchased are non-refundable.

Refund requests will be processed based on the following criteria:
- If there is a BIO member/non-member discrepancy.
- If your company joined BIO on or before May 9, 2007.
- If you were accepted to speak after you registered and paid.
Refund requests WILL NOT be approved for the following:
- The cancellation request is received after March 23, 2007.
- 3-Day or 1-Day Exhibition Plus Passes purchased in advance or on-site.
- Reception packages purchased by Exhibit Booth Personnel in advance or on-site.
- Downgrading from one registration category to another.
SUBSTITUTION, RECORD CHANGES, UPGRADING
REGISTRATION OR ADDING OPTIONS
- IN ADVANCE: Click on the modify link provided in your receipt/confirmation e-mail to: (1) make changes to your registration record (2) transfer your registration to another individual (3) upgrade your registration or (4) add an option to your record. If you did not receive an e-mail confirmation, please send an e-mail to reg2007@bio.org to request another copy.
- ON-SITE: Changes to your record will be honored on-site prior to printing the name badge. Please proceed to the “Pre-Registration” counters located in the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center (BCEC) to complete the transaction.
NAME BADGES
- Your name badge will be printed on-site using the information provided in your registration record. If corrections are needed, please use the url link provided in the e-mail receipt/confirmation to make changes in advance to your record electronically.
- Name badges will NOT be mailed in advance. Plan to pick up your name badge at one of the registration counters located in the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center (BCEC), Boston, MA.

RECEIPT/CONFIRMATION
- All registrants will receive a written receipt/confirmation for the convention if their contact information is complete and they have paid the registration fees in full.
- This document serves as both a receipt of payment and a confirmation that you are registered to attend BIO International Convention.
- Web registrants will be notified immediately to the e-mail address provided when they register.
- Receipt/Confirmation will be faxed or mailed to those who do not supply an e-mail address. These confirmations will be sent 3 to 5 working days after receipt of the registration form.
- Please note: mailed registration forms with check payment may take up to 21 days to be processed. Receipt/Confirmation will be sent after registration form has been processed in the system.
- Registrants should provide a current e-mail address and fax number on their registration form to ensure confirmation receipt.
- A second receipt/confirmation will be re-issued 10 to 14 days prior to the convention. Please print this confirmation and bring it with you to any of the Express Badge Pickup counters located in the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center (BCEC) to pick up your name badge and conference materials.
INCOMPLETE REGISTRATION NOTICE
Incomplete registration notices will be sent to the individuals who mailed in a registration form with missing or illegible information. Registration forms will not be accepted if:
- The information is not legible.
- You indicate that payment by check will follow.
- You select a registration category or option that is only available on the Web site electronically.
You are NOT registered for 2007 BIO International Convention if any of the reasons listed above apply. Please follow the directions on the form to complete your registration. Your registration form must be received on or before March 23, 2007, 5:00 p.m. CST, to qualify for the early bird rate. If your form is received after this date, you will be charged the higher rate. Contact BIO customer service at reg2007@bio.org, if you have questions regarding this notice.
CONFERENCE CREDENTIAL
- Your name badge will be printed on-site using the information provided in your registration record. If corrections are needed, please click on the link provided in the receipt/confirmation e-mail to make changes in advance to your record electronically. Changes may also be made to your record prior to badge printing on-site. Please proceed to the Pre-Registration counter for assistance.
- Please be aware that on the Web site registration form you have the opportunity to view a virtual badge to ensure that name placement(s) and spelling are accurate. Corrections may be made at this time by clicking on the back button. The virtual badge appears on the page prior to payment and checkout.
- Name badges will NOT be mailed in advance. Plan to pick up your name badge at one of the registration counters located in the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center (BCEC), Boston, MA.
- Pre-registered attendees and exhibitors who provide an e-mail address when they register will receive an e-mail receipt/confirmation after they register and another e-mail receipt/confirmation 10 to 14 days before the convention. Please print this e-mail and bring it with you to pick up your name badge on-site.

REGISTERING AFTER MARCH 23, 2007
Registration forms received after 5:00 p.m., CST, March 23, 2007, will be charged the higher rate. Your registration must be paid in full by March 23, 2007, to qualify for the early bird rate. Registrants with a balance due will be charged the on-site rate if the balance is not paid on or before March 23, 2007.
BIO MEMBER/NON-BIO MEMBER REGISTRATION
Registration fees are listed for BIO members and non-BIO members. BIO members pay significantly less to attend and participate in all of our conferences—including BIO International Convention. Join BIO on or before May 9, 2007, and save US $500 off your BIO International Convention registration. BIO membership is company based; BIO does not offer individual memberships. Please note that if your company applies for BIO membership after March 23, 2007, you may be required to pay the non-BIO member registration fee in advance. In these cases, BIO will process a refund after the convention for those who qualify for the BIO member rate.
MEDIA REGISTRATION
Media registration for the BIO International Convention is complimentary for credentialed members of the news media. Media registrants have access to all breakfast Thought Leader sessions, three keynote lunch sessions, BIO Business Forum, BIO Exhibition, press room and evening receptions.
Advance registration: Advance media registration will be open January 15, 2007 – April 20, 2007. All freelance journalists, college and Web-based publications are strongly encouraged to register in advance.
Onsite registration: Media wishing to register onsite must present valid, current media credentials (i.e. official picture identification from the employing news organization, signed letter from assignment editor on company letterhead, or a by-lined article from the publication). Marketing and public relations executives, analysts, consultants, authors, and researchers may not register as media. BIO reserves the right to limit the number of admission approvals from the same publication or news outlet.
SPEAKER REGISTRATION
Speakers will receive a complimentary registration for the day of their session only. BIO’s program team will automatically register each confirmed speaker for the day of their session only. A special Unlimited Full Conference reduced rate of US $595 will be offered to those speakers who wish to attend the entire convention. Speakers may upgrade by clicking on the url link in their e-mail confirmation.
